The Leafs were in New Jersey... John Tavares and Ryan O'Reilly were not in the lineup, O'Reilly underwent surgery on a broken finger and Tavares was given the night off. After a scoreless 1st period, both teams scored in the 2nd for a 1-1 tie going into the 3rd... Mitch Marner scored a beautiful short-handed goal to give Toronto the lead, however, New Jersey scored the next two and went up 3-2... then, with less than 5 minutes to play, it was Michael Bunting and Auston Matthews, both scoring and Toronto completed the comeback with a 4-3 win.
