It's been 4 months since the NHL shut down over Covid. Even though the virus is still with us, the League is going with a tournament style playoffs starting on August 1st. The players are playing in 2 quarantined bubbles out of hub cities, Toronto and Edmonton. The Maple Leafs play their first game in a best of 5 series against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday August 2nd. The biggest news surrounding the Maple Leafs and Covid... Auston Matthews contracted the virus and has since recovered in time to join the Leafs on their quest to win Lord Stanley's Cup.
