The 2019 Toronto Maple Leafs wrapped up the preseason at home against Detroit... won the game 5-0. Auston Matthews scored a goal and had a pair of assists, Tavares also scored and had an assist for 2 points.
The Leafs opened the 8 game preseason on a pair of losses to Ottawa... they then won 5 of the next 6 games, which included four shutouts. The regular season starts on Wednesday in Toronto against Ottawa.
