Winnipeg was in town... Auston Matthews scored 2 goals within the first 4 minutes of the 2nd period, including the first goal, just 8 seconds after the puck drop... then Mitch Marner scored a short handed goal while Ilya Samsonov played outstanding... the lone goal scored on Samsonov was scored when the Leafs were down 2 men... and it was Giordano with an empty net goal as Toronto won the game 4-1.
